A one-of-a-kind original for your collection where I've captured the vibrant, juicy essence of grapefruit through high-contrast light and shadow.

In "Grapefruit Slices 2," I wanted to explore the maximum color vibration between the pink, ruby flesh and a textured, cool mint background. I used non-traditional colors like teals and deep purples for the shadows to give the fruit an electric, glowing quality that reproduction can't replicate.

I built up the forms using thick, sculptural brushwork, giving the rinds a physical presence you can only get with an original work. This is a one-of-a-kind physical artwork, not a print. Created directly on a rigid wood panel that I hand-primed in my studio, this piece is built for maximum color vibrancy and long-term durability. At 15x15 cm (6x6 inches), it’s a compact but high-impact piece that fits perfectly on a desk, shelf, or as a vibrant addition to a gallery wall in your home.
