This painting was a special commission. R. commissioned a painting from me. They already collected some originals and this time they just gave me a topic. No photo reference or planned composition as usual. They said: “I want berries. Paint them and ship it to my home as a surprise.” From that trust and my love for berry paintings, this painting was born. And now I offer it as a renewed print while R., is the only proud one who has the original, as they said!
