"Mirmo" is a special commission created for Carla, featuring her beloved American Budgie. This piece isn't just a portrait; it's a collection of Mirmo's favorite things. I worked closely with the collector to integrate his favorite rope swing, his obsession with the family orchid, and his most-loved colorful hanging toy into one cohesive, energetic scene.

I used thick, sculptural impasto brushwork to give Mirmo's feathers and the textures of his toys a physical 3D presence. The background is a vibrant mix of pastel pinks and blues, chosen to make the budgie's bright green and yellow truly "pop".

This original artwork was painted on a rigid wood panel, hand-primed in my studio to ensure the oil pigments remain rich and the surface stays archival for a lifetime.
