Olippe & Momo: Custom Dual Cat Digital Portrait

I painted this custom digital portrait to bring two distinct feline personalities together into a single, cohesive scene designed for large-scale printing.

Bringing Two Companions Closer

It can be incredibly tough to get two cats to pose perfectly in a single frame, so I loved the challenge of this commission. My main goal was to bring them closer together in the composition to create a warm, connected feel. I focused heavily on the beautiful contrast between their coats, balancing the long, fluffy orange fur of one cat with the striking blue eyes and dark features of the other. By replacing a busy background with a stylized, soft-toned tiled floor, I made sure all the focus stayed directly on their expressive faces.

Even though this is a digital piece, I used my signature brushwork to mimic the thick layers and heavy texture of a traditional oil painting. I used a high-contrast palette, packing the shadows with deep purples and teals while letting warm peach and cream tones catch the light. This portrait was built as a high-resolution digital file, specifically optimized so it can be printed up to a large A2 size on museum-grade paper without losing any of the sharp, painterly detail.
